Dead Weight Pressure Gauge Testers
Are used for calibration of pressure gauges and other pressure sensitive instruments over a wide range of pressure & is generally regarded as the most accurate method in calibration and is either used as a primary or secondary pressure standard

Operating Principle: When fluid Pressure generated by a screw pump acts on the bottom of a vertically free floating piston the force produced pushes the loaded free piston vertically upwards. The piston floats freely in its cylinder and the pressure in the circuit will be determined by the weights loaded on the piston divided by the effective area of the piston with corrections for value of acceleration due to gravity, air buoyancy, surface tension and datum level difference. Vacuum works on reverse principle.

Technical Specification of Dead Weight Tester:

Screw Pump is used to generate pressure in the circuit of adequate capacity & is operated by turning the handle; it permits easy & accurate setting of pressure.
Free Piston Assembly (made of HCHC steel for low pressure & Tungsten carbide for High pressure) are hardened, tempered, ground and lapped to accurate sizes with very fine surface finishing
Oil Reservoir provides a convenient storage for hydraulic fluid that must be added to the system to replace fluid which is lost during the testing processes.
Needle Valve for cutting-off oil-reservoir from high pressure circuit  

Set of Weights are directly marked in convenient values of pressure and easily stacked on the carrier weight. These weights are available in either kg/cm2, bar, psi Cbf/in² units (other units on request). Storage box provided. Incremental weights to provide smaller steps available at extra cost for all models mentioned below.

Gauge Connector of 1/2" BSP (female) union for connecting gauge to be tested. Other sizes of gauges can be connected by using adaptors.
Baseplate of sturdy construction provided with legs and leveling screws. The entire circuit is protected by a Sheet Metal Cover
This instrument is supplied complete in all respects and in ready to use condition for the calibration of pressure gauges etc

Comparison Testers – Pressure & vacuum
Comparator Testers are used for quick calibration by comparison with master gauge on a pressurized test pump with a test standard of known accuracy and span to allow rapid, accurate calibration of pressure instruments.

Operating Principle When fluid Pressure generated by a screw pump acts on the Test/Master Gauge, the pressure in the circuit will be determined by the reading in the test gauge and this pressure is compared with the respective readings of the gauge under test. Two Gauge Connectors are provided for connecting master gauge and gauge to be tested to the same hydraulic pressure. Screw Pump to generate pressure in the circuit. Permits easy and accurate setting of pressure
Range Various models from 0-1000 kg/cm2.
Accuracy Depends on the accuracy of the master gauge. Accuracy + 0.25% and + 0.5%.
Operating Medium Air, Water or oil as the operating fluid as per application.
Type of Pump Screw pump of adequate capacity to generate pressure.

Vacuum Testers

Application

For calibration of vacuum gauges and other sensing, transmitting and recording vacuum instruments

Operating Principle No External source required for creating vacuum, built in screw pump is adequate for effective and faster vacuum build - up. Vacuum is developed by expansion of air inside the screw pump. Works on the reverse principle of pressure pumps
